Market Manager

Job Purpose T o build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and industry partners while achieving sales targets and expanding Reading Rock’s presence in the marketplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Stay abreast of industry trends and competition via networking, associations, publications, seminars, etc. to improve market relevance and success. New Client Acquisition: Identify and procure new business opportunities within assigned region via cold calls, qualified lead-up, one-on-one, group presentations, and networking.

Existing Client Retention and Development: Be a trusted advisor throughout the accounting relationship. Annual Business Plan Development & Achievement Marketing Strategies Product Portfolio Advancements Contract Terms Accounts Receivables Project Management: Work in a team-based model to ensure customer satisfaction from order fulfillment.

Continuous Improvement: Participate in technical and business training seminars, online training, and suppliers’ events for professional development. Other position-related duties as needed & assigned. Education, Knowledge, and Skills: High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred Minimum 3 years in account leadership; Hardscape is a plus MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel; CRM, Salesforce preferred Supervisory Responsibilities: No Travel Required: 10% Work Environment: The position is primarily field-based, with regular in market (West Columbus) travel to contractor offices primarily.

Typical work hours follow a standard business schedule, but reasonable flexibility is essential to meet deadlines, manage projects, and respond to customer needs. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. The role requires frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.

The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds, such as presentation materials, product samples, or equipment.
