Please note: We are hiring for this position on projects for the Central Kootenays in Castlegar, Nelson, and Trail. Primary Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine installation specifications .

Prepare layouts in conformance to internal drawings using measuring tools . Knowledge of wallboard installation . Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of steel. Safely use various power tools including, but not limited to, drills and saws. Work collaboratively between departments to ensure efficiency in the build process.

Take direction from Lead Hands and Foreman on tasks to be completed. Ensure attention to detail to maintain quality of work. Perform well under a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision. Champion General Contractor and RWC safety guidelines and regulations. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role .

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment . Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods. Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills . Ability to work at heights . E xperience operating and working around construction equipment .

Trade school certification is considered an asset .
