Citycare Property is looking for a Cleaner/Building Assistant to join our team at Defence House, the national headquarters of the New Zealand Defence Force in Wellington. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, takes ownership of their work, and understands the importance of maintaining professional environments.

You'll play a key role in ensuring office spaces, meeting rooms, shared facilities, and amenities are clean, presented to a high standard and ready to support NZDF personnel every day. Due to the security requirements associated with this role, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret NZ Government Security Clearance What You’ll Be Doing | Ngā Kawenga Takohanga Maintaining offices, amenities, meeting rooms , kitchens, bathrooms, and shared spaces to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and presentation Carrying out daily cleaning and general facility support tasks across the site.

Assisting with meeting room set-ups, furniture moves and event support Supporting the day-to-day operation and readiness of the building Performing routine checks of facilities, equipment, and supplies Responding to service requests and assisting with cleaning, presentation, and building-related tasks. Working safely while following all NZDF site requirements and protocols.

Helping create and maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional environment for staff and visitors What We’re Looking For | Ā Mātou e Rapu Ana Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities support, hospitality, property services or a similar role Ability to obtain and maintain a NZDF Top Secret Security Clearance.
