Director of Facilities

Plum Borough School District is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Director of Facilities to provide strategic and operational leadership for the district's buildings, grounds, custodial services, maintenance programs, capital improvement initiatives, and facilities-related safety and compliance responsibilities.

The Director of Facilities will play a vital role in ensuring that all district schools and support facilities are safe, clean, efficient, well maintained, and prepared to meet the needs of students, staff, families, and the broader community. This leader will bring sound judgment, strong technical knowledge, effective organizational skills, and a commitment to thoughtful stewardship of public resources.

The successful candidate will be skilled in planning, prioritizing competing needs, solving complex problems, managing resources, and leading facilities and custodial staff with professionalism, accountability, and respect. The Director will work collaboratively with district administrators, building principals, staff members, contractors, vendors, and community partners to align facilities operations with the district's mission, priorities, and long-term goals.

This individual will communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and demonstrate the calm, steady leadership needed to respond effectively to both daily operational demands and unexpected challenges.
