Job description

Chung Chi College Project Assistant II (carrying the job title of ‘Assistant Officer, Digital Creative Centre’) The Digital Creative Centre at Chung Chi College is a pioneering initiative dedicated to digital literacy and ethics, digital creativity, innovation, and responsible technology engagement. As a multidisciplinary hub, it will bring together faculty members, students, alumni, entrepreneurs, technology innovators, creative professionals, and community partners to exchange ideas and develop impactful initiatives.

Through programmes, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, and pilot projects, the Centre will promote digital literacy, responsible AI, digital ethics, emerging technologies, creative media applications, and interdisciplinary innovation. The appointee will support the operation and development of the newly established Digital Creative Centre by assisting in programme and event co-ordination, stakeholder engagement, partnership activities, and administrative support to advance the Centre’s initiatives.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing operational and administrative support for the Centre’s programmes, projects and activities; (b) assisting in the planning and execution of workshops, exhibitions, conferences, community programmes, and special events; (c) supporting logistics arrangements, scheduling, procurement, documentation and record management; (d) assisting in communications, publicity, digital marketing, stakeholder engagement, and community outreach initiatives; (e) maintaining project records and assisting in progress tracking, data collection, analysis and report preparation; (f) supporting major College events and other College development initiatives; and (g) providing assistance with other College projects, activities, or administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor(s).

Irregular working hours, including weekends, evenings or holidays, may be required occasionally. Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education or above; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English word-processing skills; (iv) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and design software, such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In.

Design; (vi) strong communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a detailed-oriented mindset; and (vii) a self-motivated work attitude and the ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure, as well as collaboratively as an effective team member. Having relevant experience in graphics and publicity design, as well as work experience at tertiary institutions will be advantageous.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Applicants must submit copies of HKCEE/HKDSE certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
