This Advocate will understand the complexity of the intersection of poverty, homelessness, mental illness and substance use for our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness.
Responsibilities
Carry out the mission, vision and values of City Care Well-versed in community resources, developing a network of collaborative partners Encourage guests to receive services that will result in housing stability Participate in a team culture of professional hospitality, confidentiality, teamwork, and safety among guests, interns, volunteers, staff, and collaborative partners Assist guests in daily check-ins and check-outs.
Monitor storage areas and organize monthly cleanouts. Manage inventory and proper storage of program supplies Requirements Understanding of the complexity of the intersection of poverty, homelessness, mental illness, substance use and recovery Skilled in verbal and written communication Computer literate, resulting in error-free data entry Ability to multitask and handle stressful and complex situations Ability to work as a member of a team to accomplish shared goals High School diploma or equivalent Current Oklahoma Driver's License Pre-employment background check, driving record and UA Reliable transportation Preferred Professional experience navigating mental and physical health systems, benefits and resources BHCM-I or II; PRSS Certification We believe in rewarding growth and commitment!
Here's how our bonus and raise system works: 90-Day Review Bonus
- Successfully complete your 90-day review and earn a pay raise to $15.61/hour 1-Year Anniversary Bonus
- Successfully complete your annual performance review and earn a pay raise to $17.00/hour Training Completion Bonuses
- Additional bonus opportunities are available for completing onboarding training and advanced trainings. These bonuses are awarded upon completion.
