Transport Operations Manager

For our department Supply Chain Management at our plant in Bremerhaven or Bydgoszcz we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager (f/m/d) who starts on a permanent basis as soon as possible. Transport Operations Manager (f/m/d) Your tasks: We make the difference together Lead and develop our Transport Planning team and foster a collaborative, high performing environment.

Ensure smooth and reliable inbound and outbound transport operations. Secure sufficient transport capacity and proactively manage operational risks and disruptions. Monitor and continuously improve OTIF, service levels, transport quality and 3PL performance. Review forecasts and stock projections to anticipate future transport and warehouse capacity requirements.

Lead root cause analyses and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage and strengthen our day-to-day operational relationships with carriers and 3 PL partners. Drive transport efficiency and cost optimization through effective planning and capacity utilization. Ensure business continuity, high data quality and the effective use of our transport management systems.

Collaborate closely with Planning, Warehousing, Production, Customer Service and Procurement.

Your profile

We like what makes you stand out Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or Transport and Traffic, completed vocational training or comparable qualification. Relevant experience in transport operations, logistics or supply chain management. Experience in leading and developing teams . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of transport KPIs, capacity planning and carrier management. Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Experience with SAP TM, Transporteon or similar systems is a plus. Fluent English-skills, German and Polish language skills are an advantage.
