Job Summary

Under the limited supervision of the designated manager, the Accountant performs complex, professional accounting and budgeting work in the computation, recording, and reporting of financial transactions; monitors and maintains budgetary, cost, and other financial records; researches, analyzes and resolves fiscal and system discrepancies; provides technical and procedural assistance.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration
• Three (3) years of work experience in professional accounting and fiscal control work, preferably with school finance Licenses and Certifications:
• Possession of an appropriate, valid California Driver’s License, and evidence of insurability Copy of Transcript (With Conferred Date) Letter of Introduction Resume Comments and Other Information Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience in a public education environment Required testing upon invitation only (Tuesdays/Wednesdays) Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, or evenings on occasion Applicants requiring a reasonable accommodation for the interview or testing process must notify Human Resources three business days prior to an interview or testing date.
