• Exempt Updated: February 2024 Position Summary Banquet Servers at Diablo Country Club are instrumental in creating exceptional dining experiences for our members and guests during special events and functions. This role requires a strong commitment to service excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Banquet Servers are responsible for setting up event spaces, providing attentive service throughout the function, and ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees. Reporting Relationship: Banquet Manager Work Performed Assist in the setup of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, place settings, and decorations, according to event specifications. Attend pre-event meetings to review event details, guest requirements, and service expectations. Greet guests and guide them to their designated tables or seating areas. Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, adhering to the established service standards and event timelines. Anticipate and respond to member needs, ensuring their satisfaction throughout the event. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverage orders. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including promptly clearing tables and replenishing service items as needed. Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event spaces after the conclusion of the function. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to accommodate last-minute changes or special requests. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements for Position: Minimum of one year of experience as a server in a high-volume, upscale dining or banquet setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.

Knowledge of proper food service techniques and etiquette. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid food handler's certification. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods. Capable of lifting and moving tables, chairs, and other event setup items.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires frequent bending, stooping, and reaching. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, team members, and supervisors.
