Advanced Vascular Sonographer: Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound. Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS); Basic Life Support (BLS).

Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Current Vascular Sonographers who are moving to Advanced Vascular Sonographer title on the career ladder must complete all required Associate AND Vascular Sonographer competencies. Senior Vascular Sonographer: Education: Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.

Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience. Certification: ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS); Basic Life Support (BLS). Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Current Advanced Vascular Sonographers who are moving to Senior Vascular Sonographer title on the career ladder must complete all required Vascular Sonographer AND Advanced Vascular Sonographer competencies.
