Overview
of Role Reporting to the Greater China Commercial GM with a dotted line to the Marketing Manager – Americas and APAC, this role will be a leader within our regional Greater China Commercial team and Global Marketing team. This role will own the execution of regional marketing plans including brand partnership marketing, consumer/retail marketing, and athlete/event marketing.
Across these elements, this role will proactively develop and execute omni-channel marketing programs and lead comprehensive go-to market strategies that build the BOA brand, create consumer demand and drive sales in the Greater China Market. This role will also leverage market expertise and insights to provide input into annual Marketing plans, helping us to drive the right win-win strategic partnerships and further connect our target consumer to BOA through events/activations, public relations, endemic media, and our digital ecosystem.
This role requires a leader who can translate global strategy into local execution while acting as "voice of the market" back to the global organization. Core Responsibilities
- Regularly role model BOA's values and Leadership Model to your team and others
- Lead execution of the regional marketing plan, inspiring peak performance and collaboration across regional and global teams
- Manage team resources, budget and workload priorities in partnership with regional and global leadership to ensure successful local execution of our global strategy
- Support APAC Marketing leadership in the development of the annual marketing plan, utilizing an expert understanding of the Greater China market to inform strategic decisions, and informing and influencing with consumer insights (from We. Chat, Weibo, Douyin, Red. Note etc.) and competitive analysis
- Act as the primary strategic marketing liaison for key Brand Partners in Greater China, moving beyond support to proactively partner on marketing campaigns that drive mutual business growth
- Lead the development and execution of joint marketing plans with Brand Partners, ensuring the amplification of BOA messaging through BP channels (website, social, newsletters, etc.).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with BP Marketing and Product teams to align on product launch calendars, storytelling, and go-to-market strategies
- Act as the expert on the Greater China marketing performance landscape, providing data-driven insights on which tactics are driving success for BOA and our brand partners
- Partner with Content, Creative, PR and Digital teams to develop assets supporting key product launches and industry storytelling
- Build and maintain relationships with key athletes, opinion leaders, and communities within our target industries to drive the credibility of the BOA brand
- Lead the development of scalable retail and consumer education programs that communicate the performance benefits of the BOA Fit System
- Build strategic relationships with BOA's top retail partners in key cities (e.g., Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen) to deliver critical insights to stakeholders
- Own and drive the digital BOA Partner Portal (B2B platform) for regional partners, helping to grow sign-ups and engagement metrics
- Manage and monitor local social media accounts (We. Chat, Weibo, Douyin, Red. Note), ensuring active community management and alignment with global brand standards
- Plan, execute, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for all Marketing initiatives
- Manage the local Marketing budget, aligning with APAC Marketing and Commercial leaders
- Lead communication efforts across other regional teams (EMEA/NA/Japan/Korea) to share best practices, provide support, and create strong global collaboration
- Manage relationships with external partners (PR agencies, content creators, production houses), ensuring briefing, budgeting, and compliance are carried out professionally Required Qualifications
- University degree in Marketing or related field
- 5-10 years of progressive marketing experience with significant experience in the Greater China market
- Marketing experience that includes retail and digital
- Demonstrated experience proactively building and managing strategic relationships with brand partners (BPs) or key accounts
- Sports/Outdoor marketing is a strong plus, but an understanding or passion for the outdoor and snowsports industries is also welcome
- Proven ability to evaluate marketing programs against strategic objectives and performance metrics
- Comfort and experience building and delivering public presentations, including in-store staff trainings
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring others
- A deep passion for technical products and their story (market opportunity, research, design, testing and validation, end-user benefit etc.)
- A data driven mindset with the ability to spot trends and themes, and communicate insights to stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PPT, Google Analytics, CMS, and the management/administration of social accounts (We. Chat, Weibo, Douyin, YouTube, Linked In, Facebook, Instagram)
- Ability to collaborate, clearly communicate, and build relationships with diverse groups of people across the globe
- Desire to use your organized project management approach to maintain our fast pace and manage multiple deadlines
- Fluency in English and Mandarin
