Substitute Instructional Aide-SPED (Up to 10 Positions)

Job Summary

Works directly with an assigned classroom teacher(s) to assist in the Special Education instructional program.

Requirements

/ Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: -High school diploma or equivalent + two years of college OR -High school diploma or equivalent + AA degree or higher OR -High school diploma or equivalent + have a passing score of 70% on the District academic proficiency test -Knowledge of English grammar and punctuation -Bilingual-biliterate English/Spanish desirable -Experience working with students in a school or recreational setting desirable -Experience working with students with special needs is desirable -Experience working with parents desirable APPLICATION PROCESS: -Résumé -Two letters of recommendation (letters must be signed and dated within one (1) year) -Upload unofficial transcripts, sealed transcripts will be required at the time of hire -First Aid/ CPR Certifications will be required within 90 days of hiring -Proof of completion of Mandated Reporter Training (Personnel Training AB1432) due at time of hiring.
