Job description

LIU12 Adult Education programs support adults working to improve their English language skills, earn a high school equivalency diploma, and build employability skills. We offer free instruction in English language development, basic literacy, math, and high school�level core subjects (reading, writing, science, and social studies).

Current Opportunities Tutors to provide small group or 1-on-1 instruction (High school diploma required) Classroom Assistants Administrative Volunteers Fundraising Volunteers Qualifications : Teaching certification and bilingual skills are NOT required. The most essential qualifications are dependability, empathy, and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their goals.

Form 916-AR1: Volunteer Request for Waiver of FBI-Federal Criminal History Fingerprint Record Check (if applicable) Form 916-AR2: Acknowledgment of Volunteer Obligations Form SE-703: Volunteer Registration Form for LIU Classrooms & Programs Form SE-704: Volunteer Release of Liability and Indemnity Contract Application Process: Applications will be reviewed once the online application is submitted with all required clearances and completed forms attached.

Note: A TB test is not required for volunteering with the Adult Education Programs
