Standard Job Description In a planning role as a Manfacturing Engineer Sr (Level 3), you will join the Pre‑Planning Team which is responsible for initiating manufacturing planning activities and establishing the foundation for successful product‑interface execution. Lead the early‑stage planning process, defining manufacturing requirements and aligning them with product design.

Create pre-plans providing the bill of material, tooling requirements, build area and planning information to represented tool planners to execute tasks. Partner with airframe/structures design engineering and multiple downstream organizations to develop successful implementation of changes. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date planning documentation, work instructions, and best‑practice guidelines in accordance with AMMM standards.

Provide technical guidance to peers, fostering a collaborative environment that drives high‑quality results. Provide estimates for job-level planning tasks for visibility of team's workload. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

Manufacturing Planner or related experience. Proficient at reading and analyizing blueprints and tool design documentation to support manufacturing processes. Experience with standard planning workflows, work instructions and documentation required for fabrication, assembly and installation activities. Must have working knowledge of Manufacturing Bill of Material (MBOM) structure.

Desired Skills Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for cross-functional audiences. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Able to evaluate engineering change proposals, assess their effect on manufacturability, cost, schedule, and quality.

Well-rounded knowledge of AMMM aircraft, mainly C-130. F-22 is a plus. Working knowledge of MES and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP), Shop Floor Manager, APRISO. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
