Job description
Cross Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced **Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) **to join our team and help create exceptional experiences for clients and patients during exams and outpatient visits.
We are seeking an outgoing technician who thrives in client engagement, schedule coordination, and multitasking. This role is focused on exams and outpatient care because we believe **credentialed technicians meaningfully elevate quality of medicine and client experience **through their education, clinical knowledge, and professional judgment.
In this position, you will play a critical role in identifying patient concerns, supporting efficient case management, educating clients, anticipating veterinarian needs, and ensuring a consistently high standard of care throughout the patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting efficient exam room and outpatient workflow to ensure exceptional patient and client care
- Maintaining accurate, thorough medical records and treatment documentation
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Supporting veterinarians during outpatient procedures and treatments while advocating for high-quality patient care
- Building positive relationships with clients through education, communication, and attentive service
Schedule and compensation:
Compensation
$25-26 per hour, for each hour worked
This is a part-time position, with a 9am-5pm schedule and availability needed Thursday and Friday.
Full-time Benefits Package:*
- Bonus package: $2,000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Michigan

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

3+ years of veterinary technician experience

Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in the state of Michigan

Proficiency in the following skills:

Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring

Radiology positioning and safety protocols

Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing

Client education and communication

Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
