BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor moisture content of the press cake prior to the dryer. Monitor the pressing operation for maximum efficiency. Monitor the burner operation. Maintain daily records for each process operated. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining a safety record is a condition of employment.

Ensure that the peel from the peel bin has been limed and ready to be pressed and dried. Monitor peel bin operations and notify supervisor of abnormalities. Free any peel that may become stuck in the press. Monitor the pressing operation for maximum efficiency. Monitor the burner operation for maximum efficiency and minimum usage of fuel.

Assist the department technician(s) as requested. Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervision and/or maintenance. Minimize downtime. Support the feed mill operation as a team member. Receive information from the preceding operator and communicate operational irregularities to the succeeding shift operator.

Dissemble and reassemble all operating equipment periodically for cleaning and maintenance. Report to work ready for a complete shift. Be prepared for overtime if it becomes necessary. Utilize time wisely. Respect fellow associates and do not interrupt them from the performance of their duties. Stay within assigned work area.

Prompt attention to other expectations as assigned. Maintain GMP practices and a clean work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

EDUCATION

REQUIREMENTS

[Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily] High School Diploma or GED. Vocational School or some college courses preferred. TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Ability to perform routine, repetitive movements in a fast paced work environment. Ability to understand the concepts of liquid flow, pressures and temperatures and how they affect citrus products.

Requires bending and twisting from the waist, stooping, squatting and climbing. Ability to maneuver around, over ad under popes and equipment. Requires pushing objects weighing over 100 pounds and pulling objects with force. Understanding of both upstream and downstream processes and multi-media communication skills. Ability to operate electronic control equipment.

Requires moving of materials weighing up to 50 pound and lifting from floor and head levels. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Operate other equipment when necessary. Work in other areas of the department as required. Learn other job assignments within functional area. Be a team member in the quality improvement process. Train new employees.

EQUIPMENT Computer and associated software, telephone, tanks, piping, valves, pumps, hoses, hand tools, hand tools, hand trucks, rubber gloves, dust mask, hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, limestone, hopper. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed both in and outdoors at multiple levels in excess of 80 feet. Requires exposure to temperature extremes, high noise levels, wetness, fumes, moving equipment, cleaning chemicals, vibrations, ammonia, etc.
