Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver

On. Trac is hiring a Certified CDL Hostler / Yard Driver ! On. Trac Hostlers are responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock. This position works closely with the yard team and Operations Management. • Tuesday from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM and Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the business. Time Away & Leave Paid Vacation, Sick Leave, Floating Holidays, and Parental Leave Paid Holidays Work & Life Support Employee Assistance Program Safe and clean work environment The Must-Haves: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery Class A CDL Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) The Responsibilities: Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management Founded in 1986, On.
