Lift-Certified Mechanic Who We Are Norlee Group, Inc. is a multi-trade building systems organization delivering integrated electrical, mechanical, and technology solutions across commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty markets. As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform, we are expanding our Healthcare Division and looking for talented, motivated professionals to join our team.

Position Summary

The Lift-Certified Mechanic is responsible for performing skilled construction, installation, demolition, and related field work in active commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional environments. This position requires the ability to safely operate applicable lifts and construction equipment while performing work at elevated heights and in active jobsites.

The Mechanic will work closely with field leadership and other trades to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, demolition, removal, modification, and related construction activities as assigned. Safely operate scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and other applicable equipment. Perform work at elevated heights while following all required safety procedures. Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and work instructions.

Safely use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment. Coordinate work with Foremen, Superintendents, other trades, and project personnel. Identify and communicate field conditions, installation issues, and potential safety concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow project schedules and complete assigned work in a timely and efficient manner.

Perform demolition and removal of existing systems and equipment as required. Assist with material handling, staging, installation, testing, and project closeout activities. Follow company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and project-specific safety requirements. Maintain proper care and control of tools, equipment, and materials.

Perform other duties as assigned by field leadership. Safety & Compliance Follow all Norlee Group safety policies and procedures. Maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Operate lifts and other equipment only when properly trained and authorized. Conduct work in accordance with OSHA requirements and project-specific safety standards.

Maintain awareness of surrounding trades, equipment, elevated work areas, and other jobsite hazards. Immediately report unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment concerns to field leadership.

Qualifications

Required Previous experience in construction, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, or a related skilled trade. Current lift certification with demonstrated ability to safely operate applicable lifts. Experience working in active construction environments. Ability to work safely at elevated heights. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and work instructions.

Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Experience with telecommunications systems and infrastructure . Experience safely and efficiently performing telecommunications system demolition and removal.

Experience with structured cabling, communications systems, or related technology infrastructure. Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, industrial, or institutional projects. Experience working in active healthcare environments. Additional trade certifications or relevant technical training. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work in active construction environments.

Ability to safely operate and work from lifts. Ability to work at elevated heights. Ability to climb, bend, kneel, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver construction materials and equipment. Ability to work around ladders, lifts, power tools, and construction equipment. Ability to work varying schedules as required to meet project needs.
