Working Pattern: 4 Days Out Of 7 | Alternative Weekends | Shifts Between 7:30am and 7:30pm | 24 Hours Per Week Salary: £14.40 Per Hour | £18,019.58 Per Year Job ID: 7919 This is a varied and hands-on position that requires flexibility. The successful candidate will work a mixture of shifts and will be expected to support the operation wherever required, whether that's cooking in the kitchen, serving residents, completing cleaning tasks, undertaking administrative duties, or helping to lead the team.

The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their management skills whilst remaining actively involved in the day-to-day catering operation. What you’ll be serving up… As Deputy Chef Manager , no two days will be the same. You will be expected to support all aspects of the catering operation and provide leadership where required.

Duties will include: Supporting the day-to-day management of the catering operation Serving meals and interacting positively with residents during meal service Carrying out cleaning duties and ensuring the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness are maintained Completing administrative and office-based tasks, including ordering, stock control, audits, compliance paperwork, rotas and reporting Supervising, motivating and developing members of the catering team Assisting with recruitment, induction and training of new colleagues Supporting budget management and helping to control food and labour costs Maintaining excellent Food Safety, COSHH and Health & Safety standards Building strong relationships with residents, care teams and site management Supporting themed events, Help with seasonal menus and special dining occasions The ingredients you'll bring...

Previous experience in a chef, supervisor or catering management role A hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to different tasks throughout the day Experience leading and motivating a team Strong organisational and administrative skills Passion for delivering excellent food and customer service Good knowledge of Food Safety, COSHH and Health & Safety requirements A positive, proactive and flexible attitude Experience within healthcare, care homes or contract catering would be advantageous At Scarborough Court , we're looking for someone who is just as comfortable completing paperwork in the office as they are cooking lunch service, serving residents or supporting the team with cleaning duties.
