Casual General Help at Prince Albert Correctional Center

Participates with or without inmates in the preparation and assembly of meals by performing duties such as:

• Wash, peel, and cut of fruit and vegetable as prep schedule
• Cook or pan potatoes as per prep schedule
• Count, weigh and measure ingredients for assigned food production area
• Keep record of cook products in the food bank. Use FIFO method in moving out the food to tray assembly area
• Prepare and serves beverages
• Assist in production of special diets
• Prepare vegetable and desserts as per prep schedule
• Assemble sandwiches and salads
• Portion meal trays and special diet trays as per meal schedule
• Load, deliver, collect and unload meal service carts to the pods
• Strip down carts and trolleys and wash dishes/pots
• Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly manner
• Work efficiently and handle all equipment and products safely Performs any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management in a suitable timeframe
