Full-Time | Schedule: Thursday-Monday; schedule may vary based on events and operational needs.
Paisley Park is seeking an experienced Museum Tour Manager to lead our Tour team and help create exceptional experiences for guests from around the world.
This is a hands-on leadership position for an experienced manager who excels at developing and engaging teams, delivering outstanding guest experiences, communicating effectively, and working collaboratively across an organization. You'll oversee daily tour operations while recruiting, training, coaching, and developing a knowledgeable and highly engaged team.
We are looking for a confident leader who sets high standards while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture. The ideal candidate enjoys developing employees, creating exceptional guest experiences, solving problems, speaking to groups and audiences, and regularly leading engaging guest tours.
Responsibilities
Tour Operations & Guest Experience

Oversee daily tour operations and provide an exceptional, welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for all guests.

Maintain high standards for tour quality, guest services, professionalism, and overall presentation.

Regularly lead guest tours and serve as a strong example of tour delivery, storytelling, and guest engagement.

Anticipate guest and operational needs and confidently navigate a variety of situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and understanding.

Build strong guest relationships and ensure guest questions, concerns, and customer relations needs are handled professionally and thoughtfully.

Identify opportunities to enhance tour flow, storytelling, guest engagement, and the overall visitor experience.
Leadership & Development

Lead and develop a knowledgeable, engaged, and guest-focused team.

Recruit, interview, onboard, and train Tour Guides in partnership with Tour leadership.

Provide coaching, feedback, performance support, and professional development.

Establish clear expectations and ensure guides have the knowledge, tools, training, and support necessary to succeed.

Regularly observe tours and provide feedback on presentation, storytelling, guest engagement, and professionalism.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages communication, teamwork, growth, and a shared commitment to the guest experience.
Communication

Review, write, and update scripts and other written materials.

Ensure tour information is accurate and communicated consistently across the team.

Provide coaching on public speaking, storytelling, audience engagement, and presentation techniques.

Build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively with leadership, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
Required Qualifications
-
3+ years of management experience with experience in leading, training, coaching, and developing employees.

Strong written communication, writing, proofreading, and editing skills.

Excellent verbal communication and public-speaking skills, with confidence presenting to groups and audiences.

Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to balance employees, guest needs, schedules, and multiple priorities.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while working in an active museum environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Teams, with strong general computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience in museum tour operations, visitor services, attractions, cultural institutions, hospitality, entertainment venues, or similar public-facing operations.

Experience managing guided tours, visitor experiences, educational programming, or other scripted guest experiences.

Experience with script development, professional writing, editing, storytelling, or historical research.

Experience training or coaching employees in public speaking, presentation, storytelling, or guest engagement.

Knowledge of Prince Rogers Nelson, his creative legacy, music history, and the cultural significance of Paisley Park is highly valued.
