This role is perfect for college students or recent high school graduates seeking hands-on experience working with children with special needs. Our school year follows most district calendars (10-month school session plus 6-week summer) Classrooms are small consisting of 6–12 students School breaks (Winter, February, Spring, and summer breaks before and after the 6-week summer session) are paid for as well as holidays Position: Salaried Classroom Aide/Teacher Assistant (10-month school session plus 6-week summer) Schedule Options: Monday through Friday (28-30 hours per week) 8:25 am – 2:40 pm 8:00 am – 2:20 pm Annual Salary (varies based on certification-not required) Non-certified: $29,324 NYS Certified TA: $30,828 Compensation Package Medical, dental, and vision insurance available 403(b) retirement plan Generous Paid time off (PTO) Classroom Aides who pursue and obtain NYS Assistant Teacher Certification will be reimbursed for all costs by Little Village (details provided at interview) What We Are Looking For Caring, compassionate individuals eager to work with students ages 3–12 with developmental disabilities.

Comfortable assisting with social, emotional, and academic development, as well as personal care Prior special education classroom experience is a plus Requirements Ability to lift children weighing up to 50 lbs.
