Special Education Instructional Aide (PAF #063-2027)

Job Summary

Under general supervision of a certificated teacher or an administrator, to primarily assist with the instructional services such as group and class presentation, informal student progress evaluation and reports through constant interaction with students and staff and perform other duties as related.

Requirements

/ Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must also meet one of the following criteria: -completed at least two years of study (48 units) at an institution of higher education; or -obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree Copy of Transcript Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) Letters) NCLB Compliance (Copy of degree or college transcripts demonstrating completion of AA degree or higher and/or 48 college units; or Instructional Aide Certificate) Proof of HS Graduation Resume Comments and Other Information 176-day work year - 6 hours per day Longevity stipend after 10 years of service Starting Salary: Employees hired for this position will be placed at Range 3 for up to 36 units or Range 7 for 37–72 units, based on verified units completed, and will begin at Step 1 of the applicable range; starting step placement is non-negotiable.
