Position Summary

As a Service Writer, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed throughout the repair process. This second shift position, from 3 - 11:30 pm Monday

• Friday, requires someone who can effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and supervisors to keep repairs on track and customers informed. Bonus Incentive for applicants that hold their CDL and/or are bilingual.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with customers upon arrival, meticulously reviewing warranty details and open repair orders Clarify customer complaints regarding units, ensuring clear understanding and accurate documentation Efficiently open repair orders and maintain proactive communication with customers, keeping them abreast of necessary repairs and vehicle status updates Collaborate with supervisors to provide assistance with estimates when required, adhering to company standards and guidelines Conduct thorough vehicle inspections alongside customers upon arrival, fostering transparency and trust Generate comprehensive documentation of all warranty information and recalls, staying abreast of the latest OEM recalls and campaigns Coordinate seamlessly with the next shift supervisor to facilitate a smooth transition of pending work, ensuring continuity and efficiency Adhere strictly to company policies regarding fund collection and vehicle release, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity Attend mandatory training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to personal and professional growth Execute additional duties as delegated by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting team objectives Qualifications: Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and vehicle repair information Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong computer literacy Professional personal appearance Benefits: Health benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability and life insurance Paid vacation and holidays 401(k) retirement plan with matching Great working environment Paid OEM continued education training and certifications Uniform service Daimler employee discount program Verizon Wireless discount program Fun company events Job Type: Full-time Shift: 8-hour night shift, Monday to Friday (3 - 11:30 pm) Education: High school diploma or equivalent If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in the automotive industry, apply now to become our newest Service Writer!
