About the Role
The Mi Vida Cashier plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient transaction processes at Mi Vida locations across the United States. This position is responsible for accurately handling cash, credit, and other forms of payment while maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment for all customers.
The cashier will serve as the first point of contact, representing the brand with professionalism and attentiveness, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. Additionally, the role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and assisting with inventory management as needed. Ultimately, the Mi Vida Cashier contributes to the overall success of the store by supporting daily operations and fostering a positive shopping experience.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred but not required. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems in a retail environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish and English, to better serve diverse customer populations. Familiarity with inventory management and stock replenishment procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service throughout the transaction process. Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, including handling cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to ensure a pleasant environment for customers and staff.
Assist with restocking shelves, inventory counts, and other store duties as assigned by management. Address customer inquiries and resolve minor issues or escalate them to supervisors when necessary. Skills: The required skills such as basic math and cash handling are essential for accurately processing transactions and ensuring financial integrity during daily operations.
Customer service skills are used continuously to create a welcoming atmosphere and to address customer needs effectively, which helps build trust and repeat business.
