Security Assistant Specialist

Standard Job Description Lockheed Martin’s Security Operations Center (LMSOC) is seeking a Security Assistant Specialist to support our consolidated personnel security clearance program. The incumbent will provide advanced security services for domestic and international operations, supporting both internal security professionals and external government agencies.

This role requires knowledge of personnel security processes, and a strong ability to navigate complex environment. The selected candidate must exercise independent judgment and decision making and be able to work with minimal supervisory oversight. Day to day tasks may include: Defense Information System for Security (DISS) administration Security Information Management System (SIMS) administration Security Central system administration Analyzing clearance data to determine appropriate actions Researching and resolving escalated clearance tickets Providing efficient customer service to applicants, employees, security representatives, and managers across the corporation Supporting multiple designated tasks within the other Mission Support Teams as needed Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start Basic Qualifications

• Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform proficiently in multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communications, interpersonal relations, and analytical skills are required
• Proficient data entry skills
• Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start Desired Skills
• DISS experience
• NBIS experience
• SIMS experience

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
