Position Overview

We’re seeking motivated and curious Cybersecurity Interns to join our team. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of cybersecurity and business operations while contributing to meaningful client-focused projects. This position is ideal for students or early-career professionals eager to grow in a startup environment and make a real impact.

Responsibilities

Assist with vulnerability management, endpoint monitoring, and security awareness initiatives Support the development of internal security policies and compliance documentation Conduct basic security research and threat intelligence gathering Help test and document security tools and solutions Collaborate with the team on client deliverables and presentations Contribute to marketing and technical content (blogs, guides, training materials) Take part in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to shape Cyberix’s growth Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field Familiarity with networking, security fundamentals, or tools like Nessus, Qualys, or endpoint management platforms (preferred but not required) Strong communication, research, and problem-solving skills Eagerness to learn, adaptability, and ability to work independently in a startup environment Certifications like CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent knowledge are a plus What You’ll Gain Hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and startup growth Exposure to industry-standard tools and best practices Mentorship from cybersecurity leaders and advisors Opportunity to work on cybersecurity assessments and services with leadership as Cyberix grows Potential for part-time or full-time employment after successful internship completion Details Hours: Flexible, ~10 - 20 hours per week Location: Aurora Colorado
