Job Description – Business Analyst Intern – Winter 2027 The Business Analyst, Product Innovation will support the Product Innovation team within Mc.
Kesson Specialty Health's Specialized Distribution business. Working closely with the Director, Product Innovation and the Product Portfolio Specialist, this role is responsible for managing product intake processes, maintaining backlog visibility, developing reporting and tracking tools, and translating business needs into clear business requirements for Mc.
Kesson Technology partners. This position serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring product requests are properly documented, prioritized, and advanced through the intake and delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Product Intake & Backlog Management Support the management and administration of product intake requests across Specialized Distribution initiatives. Maintain product intake trackers, backlog repositories, and prioritization tools. Monitor intake requests through the product lifecycle and provide regular status updates to Product team.
Partner with the Product Portfolio Specialist to conduct intake reviews, ensuring submissions are complete and aligned to business objectives. Assist with backlog grooming, prioritization activities, and preparation for governance and business council reviews. Coordinate follow-up activities with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and dependencies.
Business Visibility & Reporting Design and maintain dashboards, trackers, and reporting tools that provide visibility into product demand, backlog status, roadmap progress, and delivery metrics. Analyze intake trends, backlog health, and product portfolio performance to support prioritization decisions. Identify opportunities to improve transparency, governance, and stakeholder communication.
Business Requirements & Technology Handoff Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts. Document business processes, workflows, use cases, and functional requirements. Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process maps, and supporting documentation with support from Product Portfolio Specialist.
