Syngenta's Maintenance team is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Co-op in St. Gabriel, LA. The co-op engineering student program is a continuous full-time position. This 30+ year program is open to Mechanical Engineering students who will get to work in the demanding world of chemical facility maintenance. As a Coop Engineer at Syngenta, you will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry, and work on real projects finding real solutions.

Estimated Duration: May 2027- June 2028 Accountabilities Perform equipment studies for reliability engineering. Create sketches and part drawings for fabrication. Develop testing and feasibility studies using fundamental engineering principles. Scope and execute small capital projects. Develop equipment repair procedures and check sheets.

Assist Maintenance Engineers in daily work. Required Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering program with a Junior class standing and good academic standing with the university. Relevant core basic science/engineering classes through Sophomore level: (ie Physics, Chemistry, Fluids mechanics, Statics, Strengths, Thermodynamics, etc.)

Experience with Microsoft Office or equivalent. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and given the duration of the position, no international students will be considered. Fluent in English. Minimum GPA 2.5 overall/major. Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
