Learning Support Teacher

Description Learning Support Teacher (3 days per week approx. 24 hours per week) Collaborate with classroom teachers to support learning for students in grades K5-8th. Differentiate math and literacy instruction, support, and interventions to students who need additional assistance. Deliver instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings (both push-in and pull-out sessions).

Provide in classroom support as needed Monitor student progress, especially those with ISPs, to ensure academic success. Administer Ark and Aims. Web testing for grades K5-8th grades three times per year as well as for incoming students. Support classroom teachers with goal development related to ARK & Aims. Web data Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings after school Coordinate paperwork and meetings with the teachers and the Rockford Public Schools special services teams for students with ISPs or potential ISPs.
