About the Job

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiac Surgery team at Med. Star Washington Hospital Center. We're helping move cardiovascular care forward regionally and nationally through our Med. Star Heart & Vascular Institute, with clinical research, better diagnostic tools, and advanced treatments that are always patient focused.

This role will be inpatient based, with the primary duties of the role focused on pre and post operative care and determining patient care plans. The shifts will include days, evenings and weekends; (4) 10 hr. shifts a week. As a Med.   • Licensed in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s). May require specialty license based on location. required and CPR
  • Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Superior verbal and written communication skills. Must have good problem-solving and independent judgment skills. Basic computer skills preferred Med.
