Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Full-Time | Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM | Friday, 7:30 AM-1:30 PM Location: West Des Moines, IA 50266 Make a Difference at Central States Pain Clinic Central States Pain Clinic (CSP) provides specialized interventional pain care in West Des Moines and Ankeny. Our team uses minimally invasive, image-guided treatments and a collaborative approach to help patients manage chronic pain and improve their quality of life.

You’ll help prepare patients for visits and procedures, support providers, and ensure the clinic remains organized, safe, and welcoming.

What You'll Do

Record vital signs, medical histories, medications, allergies, and visit concerns. Prepare patients for appointments and procedures and relay relevant information to providers. Set up procedure supplies and assist with clinical procedures while following sterile technique. Collect and process specimens according to applicable safety and laboratory standards.

Answer patient calls, triage concerns within your role, and document telephone encounters. Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records. Monitor medical supplies, assist with inventory, and help maintain equipment. Explain physician-provided instructions and procedure information to patients. Keep clinical areas clean, safe, and compliant with applicable standards.

Coordinate with clinical staff, help onboard new team members, and transport patients or equipment when needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Completion of a nursing assistant course or equivalent training. Current BLS certification. Ability to pass a pre-employment nursing assistant skills assessment. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare office procedures. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and a professional approach to patient care.

Preferred High school diploma. Previous healthcare or hospital experience. Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar applications. Experience in an outpatient or specialty care setting.
