Job description
School of Hotel and Tourism Management Project Co-ordinator II The MSc in Leadership for Experience Economy (MSc LEE) Programme at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, CUHK Business School, is inviting applications for the position of Project Co-ordinator II to support programme-related administration. We are looking for a highly motivated and responsible individual who enjoys working with students, alumni, academic and industry partners, building communities and turning ideas into reality.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, creative and resourceful, with a passion for organising meaningful stakeholder engagement activities and cultivating an innovative, supportive and caring programme culture. The appointee will be responsible for (a) supporting programme events and student engagement initiatives from planning to execution, co-ordinating logistics arrangements, vendor liaison and on-site support; (b) working closely with students to initiate activities that strengthen participation, peer connections and programme identity; (c) supporting the programme’s marketing efforts, including creating content and managing social media accounts, sourcing and producing souvenirs, producing promotional materials, and co-ordinating outreach activities; (d) providing administrative support for programme operations, including processing expense claims, supporting admission, maintaining records, preparing reports, handling enquiries, supporting student-related matters; and (e) performing other duties as assigned.
Flexible working hours may be required to support programme activities and events occasionally. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree or above; (ii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); (iii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification work experience; (iv) proficiency in MS Office applications; (v) familiarity with social media platforms (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram and Xiaohongshu); (vi) a proactive, energetic and student-oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in building communities and creating positive student experiences; (vii) strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills; (viii) a strong sense of responsibility and work ethics, and (ix) the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, with a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, creativity and attentiveness to detail.
Having experience in social media management and skills in utilising up-to-date digital and AI tools will be advantageous. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
