Job description
DEPARTMENT Permitting REPORTS TO Lance Nossen, Managing Director LOCATION 1250 S Pine Island Rd, Suite 400, Plantation, FL 33324 CLASSIFICATION Exempt, Full-Time SALARY RANGE $105,000 – $135,000 (commensurate with experience) ABOUT INSPECTED Inspected is a fast-growing, tech-enabled construction technology company revolutionizing remote inspections and permitting for the construction industry.
We serve homebuilders, HVAC, solar, roofing, pool, and commercial and residential contractors across Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and beyond — with additional markets launching soon. Our proprietary platform, Permit Hub, is transforming a process that once took months into one that takes days. Inspected has performed over 250,000 remote inspections to date and is one of South Florida's fastest-growing companies, with 100% growth for three consecutive years.
As we expand into new states, our permitting function is one of the most critical engines of that growth — and we are building the leadership team to match.
POSITION SUMMARY
Inspected is seeking an experienced, organized, and growth-minded Director of Permitting to lead and scale our permitting operations nationally. This is a senior leadership role responsible for owning the full permitting lifecycle — from permit application submission and municipal coordination through approval, inspection scheduling, and final closeout — across our existing Florida headquarters division and a rapidly expanding multi-state footprint.
This role requires true multi-trade permitting depth: the successful candidate will have hands-on experience permitting across multiple modalities — including doors and windows, HVAC, roofing, water heaters, solar, pools, electrical and plumbing updates or repairs, and other home improvement projects that require permits — and the ability to build teams and playbooks that handle each trade’s unique requirements.
The Director of Permitting will build, train, and lead dedicated permitting teams for each new market — Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia — while maintaining the operational excellence and speed our Florida contractors depend on. This is not a role for someone who simply manages an existing team. This is a builder's role.
You will design the organizational structure, establish the workflows, hire the talent, and create the playbook that scales with the company. This role is critical to Inspected's multi-state expansion strategy. Each new market requires jurisdiction-specific registration, municipal relationship-building, and a dedicated permitting team before inspections can begin.
The Director of Permitting owns that pipeline from market entry to full operational capacity.
