Engineering Technician III

Education

High School Diploma / GED Months/Years of Experience: Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: Mechanical – At least four (4) year of the five (5) years experience must include successful completion of 0ne (1) year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of two (2) years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.

Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Forklift certification or ability to obtain a Forklift certification. Desired Qualifications: LPART (Liquid-Propellant-Action-Response-Team); Class “A” CDL with hazmat endorsement; Industrial Maintenance/Mechanical A.

A.S, or Aerospace Technology A.A.S preferred. Welding experience is a plus. Duties: Technician will be required to support mechanical operations in and around Test Stand/fixtures; operate and maintain equipment for test support. Technician will need to be able to comprehend various test setups and lead the mechanical responsibilities while following applicable standard operating procedures.

Technician will operate forklifts from Class VII and below, mobile and overhead crane, and other similar equipment. Comments: Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment.
