Powder Coating Technician

Powder Coating Technician Border Tire Join the Border Tire team!!! Border Tire is hiring a Powder Coating Technician in Corona, CA! The Powder Coating Technician assists in the coating application process from start to finish with factory and dealership quality specifications and time standards.

Responsibilities

Perform powder coating / painting operations / metal work Select, mix and apply powder coating per requirements Set up, operate, inspect, maintain and tend oven and equipment Ensure work done meets established quality standards; identify and resolve quality issues Deliver accurate and quality products on time to meet deadlines Handles, positions and moves materials and products Prep products for powder coating Load and wrap finished product Seek to improve/suggest coating techniques/tools to improve quality, efficiency, and safety Prepare and clean items and surfaces to be finished.

Mask, plug, block finished, machined, or specified surfaces not to be coated.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous powder coating experience a plus. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent physical condition and coordination. Steel toed footwear and safety glasses are required in the shop.
