Director of Sports Services

The Director of Sport Services manages the day-to-day operations of the Sport Services Department and oversees programs that support AKC clubs, breeders, exhibitors, junior handlers, and the broader dog sport community. The position is responsible for administering specialized programs including the Foundation Stock Service®  recognition of new breeds, Purebred Alternative Listing (PAL), Breeder of Merit, Registered Kennel Names, veterinary outreach initiatives, junior programs, and breed standard administration.

Coordinates the scheduling and administration of the AKC Booth, assists Parent Clubs with requests for Breed Standard revisions. This role provides leadership to department staff, serves as a resource to clubs and delegates, and works collaboratively across AKC
