Position Information: The coordinator oversees, leads, and manages assigned groups and employees within the Student Services Department.

This position is responsible for the coordinating, developing, and the directing of activities in the interpreting team to assure the efficient coverage, scheduling, and performance of the Interpreting staff. Supervision and evaluation of interpreter staff are included in this position. The coordinator oversees assigned areas of responsibility within the department inclusive of budgeting, workload assignment, program review and analysis.

Shift Details: 8.0 hours a day; 220 day calendar Non-Continuing Position: This position is non-continuing for the 2026-2027 school year only. Typically, non-continuing assignments fill a variety of temporary vacancies to help the school district meet a short-term work demand. This work assignment expires on the end date of employment and there is no reasonable assurance for work after the end date.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, Deaf Education, Education, Special Education, or a related field. Three to five (3�5) years of direct supervisory experience in a team lead, senior, or project coordinator role. Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) performance standards for Educational Interpreters: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a minimum score of 4.0, and the EIPA written test with a passing score; or National Interpreter Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), and the EIPA written test with a passing score.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience working in a public school setting, supporting educational interpreting. 5+ years of freelance or consulting support experience.
