Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Lead Shuttle Driver to oversee daily transportation operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable shuttle services for passengers.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of drivers, coordinate schedules, and uphold the highest standards of safety and customer service. Your expertise in vehicle operation, traffic laws, and transportation safety regulations will drive the success of our shuttle program while providing a positive experience for all passengers.

Responsibilities

Supervise shuttle drivers to ensure adherence to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies. Coordinate daily shuttle schedules, routes, and driver assignments to optimize service efficiency. Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts to verify mechanical condition and safety compliance. Lead driver training sessions on defensive driving techniques, passenger assistance, and vehicle maintenance procedures.

Communicate effectively with drivers via two-way radios to manage route updates and safety alerts. Assist passengers with special needs or mobility challenges, ensuring a welcoming and accessible environment. Monitor driving in adverse weather conditions and provide guidance on safe operation during challenging circumstances.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, incident reports, and shift logs for compliance purposes. Foster a customer-focused atmosphere by addressing passenger inquiries professionally and courteously. Skills Proven experience in paratransit services, shuttle driving, or delivery driving with a focus on passenger safety.

Excellent communication skills for effective driver coordination and passenger interactions. Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and identify maintenance needs proactively. Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with driving in adverse weather conditions preferred. Knowledge of two-way radios for driver communication; ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

Experience in supervising or leading a team of drivers in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
