R&D Delivery Manager

Lead the planning, delivery and release of multiple R&D programs in a multidisciplinary environment. You will manage the execution of our engineering teams from PI Planning to released version, act as the primary bridge between Product and R&D, and own the delivery system – process, Jira tooling, automation and metrics.

Responsibilities

R&D Delivery Leadership – Lead the execution of the engineering teams across HW, SW, FW and System workstreams; own delivery commitments, capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure predictable, cohesive delivery PI Planning & Agile Cadence – Own the Program Increment (PI) cycle end to end – PI preparation, PI Planning events, PI objectives and commitments, mid-PI syncs, system demos and Inspect & Adapt; run Scrum-of-Scrums and cross-team syncs Release & Version Management – Own the release plan and version roadmap; drive release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, release notes and the hand-off of integrated versions to production, customers and the field Execution Management – Translate high-level roadmaps into PI objectives, epics and detailed plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, interfaces, resource loads and critical paths Jira Ownership & Automation – Own Jira as the R&D system of record – project structure, issue hierarchy, workflows, Plans/Advanced Roadmaps, dashboards and automation rules; drive data hygiene and consistent tool adoption across all teams AI-Enabled Delivery – Introduce and scale AI tools and practices across the delivery process – AI-assisted planning, status reporting, risk detection and knowledge management – to increase velocity and transparency Metrics, Risk & KPIs – Define and publish delivery KPIs (PI predictability, velocity, flow, lead time, quality); proactively identify and escalate delivery risks early External Integration – Lead technical and operational coordination with 3rd party partners and suppliers for strategic projects Execution Forums – Run focused stand-ups, technical reviews, readiness checks and status meetings to keep the system moving Continuous Improvement – Continuously evolve R&D delivery processes, removing bottlenecks and waste across the development lifecycle

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field 10+ years of experience in R&D delivery, program or technical project management, including leading engineering teams in multidisciplinary (HW / SW / System) companies Agile at Scale (Mandatory) – Proven hands-on experience working in Agile with PI (Program Increment) methodology – running PI Planning, managing PI objectives and cross-team dependencies Jira Expertise (Mandatory) – Full knowledge and administrative control of Jira – workflows, schemes, JQL, dashboards, Plans/Advanced Roadmaps and Jira Automation; strong Confluence skills Automation & AI – Demonstrated experience implementing automation and AI tools and methodologies to improve delivery processes, reporting and team productivity Release Management – Proven experience managing version releases and delivery cycles, including release readiness and version control Technical Fluency – Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineers and evaluate effort estimations and complexity Leadership & Cross-Functional Skills – Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing shared resources and external stakeholders in a matrix environment Methodology – Practical experience with both Agile and Waterfall / hybrid methodologies, including hardware development cycles Data Driven – Ability to master schedules, KPIs, dashboards and data-driven execution tracking Advantages Atlassian certification (Jira Administrator) – advantage Experience delivering hardware-based products – advantage
