IT Help Desk

Description Position Title: PC Technician / IT Helpdesk Department: IT Supervisor Title: IT Supervisor Summary While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision and values this key position provides primary technical support for internal employees. Provides end-user training and performs other related duties as assigned. This is an “at will” position. Job Duties

• Process IT trouble tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
• Works with employees to clearly identify and resolve hardware, software, and service related problems.
• Resolves and/or escalates employee problems or system wide problems in a timely manner.
• Trains employees on software applications, systems, and services.
• Setup new employee accounts and provide training
• Maintains systems support, and archiving procedures, performs daily server tape backups.
• Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
• Documents and maintains the company’s software and computer hardware inventories.
• Schedules and performs routine maintenance equipment activities, minimizing impact to end-users.
• Assists in research, application and recommendation of new technologies and products.
• Participate in IT on-call schedule
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Internet, email systems, telecommunications and data communications
• Standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities
• Proper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon requirements and need
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Experience & Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience of operating, maintaining, upgrading and configuring PC hardware, software and associated peripheral equipment.
• Applicable IT related certifications and equivalent years of experience are acceptable.
