Procurement Specialist (Buyer )

Procurement Specialist Are you passionate about procurement and sourcing? Do you enjoy building relationships and managing multiple priorities? Our Procurement Team provides support for regional and corporate projects. We collaborate closely with local and regional teams to drive innovation and deliver value. We manage the buying process and commercial sourcing activities to achieve the best contractual conditions and business outcomes for the company.
Partner with the best As a Procurement Specialist, you will manage the buying process for a defined portfolio of goods and services. You will apply sourcing policies and act as the interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding specifications, budgets, and commercial requirements. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for: Managing RFQs and engaging with suppliers to obtain competitive quotations while understanding product applications and requirements.
Placing and following up on Purchase Orders (POs) and managing supplier relationships to ensure successful execution and best value. Ensuring on-time delivery of goods and services while monitoring order status. Identifying inefficiencies in approaches, methods, procedures, and processes, and recommending improvements.
Supporting contract negotiations, renewals, supplier discussions, and contract management activities. Managing supplier relationships to understand business requirements, gather market intelligence, assess risk, and ensure KPI compliance. Handling communication with colleagues and stakeholders regarding data collection, analysis, and procurement activities.
Resolving procurement-related issues and managing scheduling changes effectively. Reporting supplier performance and managing non-conformity cases. Processing supplier invoices and coordinating any required corrections or reconciliations. Understanding the technical content of purchased items and preparing commercial comparison analyses to identify the best value.
Collaborating with stakeholders to support project milestones and evaluate alternatives and options. Supporting CAPEX purchasing activities and maintaining knowledge of equipment specifications and assets. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a proven experience in sourcing, buying, or procurement within the Oil & Gas, Energy, Manufacturing, or Technology sectors.
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. A technical background is preferred. Be fluent in Dutch and English. Additional language skills are advantageous. Have experience with, or training in, contract and agreement management. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
Have experience using SAP or Oracle ERP systems. Have experience leading procurement activities and supporting commercial decision-making. Be self-motivated and capable of managing responsibilities independently. In this role, we can offer a one-year contract with the opportunity for long-term employment following successful completion of the probation period and strong performance.
