Hayden Valley Foods is looking for an experienced Forklift / Turret Truck Operator & Order Puller to join our 2nd Shift Shipping team. This position requires previous hands-on experience operating a turret truck, as the equipment is an essential part of the position.

In this role, you'll help keep products moving safely and accurately through our warehouse while making sure customer orders are picked, prepared, and shipped correctly and on time.

What You'll Do

As a member of our Shipping team, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently moving products and materials throughout the warehouse and preparing customer orders for shipment.

Your responsibilities

• Safely operating stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Picking, packing, staging, and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers.
• Transporting products, supplies, and materials to designated locations throughout the facility.
• Optimizing loads for safe and efficient storage and transportation.
• Verifying incoming and outgoing products against bills of lading (BOLs), invoices, and other shipping documentation.
• Confirming product quantities, labeling, condition, and accuracy before shipment.
• Properly stacking and securing loads in accordance with company safety requirements.
• Using RF scanners and warehouse systems to track and process product movement.
• Performing required daily pre-operational forklift inspections.
• Promptly reporting equipment damage, maintenance needs, product discrepancies, or safety concerns.
• Completing shipping paperwork accurately and submitting required documentation to Shipping management.
• Assisting with receiving, stocking, inventory control, and other warehouse activities as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Following all company safety, food safety, GMP, and warehouse procedures.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating stand-up forklifts and/or turret trucks.
• Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment in a warehouse environment.
• Ability and willingness to work at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred

• Previous food manufacturing or food warehouse experience.
• Previous shipping, receiving, inventory, or order-picking experience.
• Current forklift certification.

Note: Hayden Valley Foods will provide site-specific equipment training and evaluation as required.

Physical Requirements

This is an active warehouse position. While performing the essential functions of the job, employees are regularly required to communicate with others and frequently required to stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and use their hands and arms to operate equipment.

Employees must be able to occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and safely perform work at elevated heights while operating applicable warehouse equipment.

Schedule

Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 2:00 PM–12:00 AM

Shift Differential: Additional compensation applies to 2nd shift.
