Systems Engineer-IT Sr - E3

Standard Job Description Ground Station Engineer for an Advanced Integration Course, responsible for training pilots on aircraft simulators. Interacts with development and test teams for operational integration at customer locations. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.

Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or equivalent aviation experience/combined education. Active Top Secret security clearance investigation within the last 5 years Completed DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA). IT experience of any combination in Windows/Linux, Database, Networking, or COMSEC Desired Skills System Administration knowledge and experience on Windows platforms Knowledge of avionics systems and or flight test concepts Complex troubleshooting/problem solving skills Familiarization with RF technology.
