Senior Computing Architect Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has exciting opportunities for Senior Computing Architect to join our Experimental Systems Group (ESG) located in Herndon, VA .

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Computing Architect to design, administer, and support secure enterprise computing environments. The successful candidate will bring deep Microsoft Windows systems administration experience, expertise with virtualization and end-user computing platforms, and a strong understanding of backup and recovery operations.

Experience administering AWS cloud environments is a plus. Position Responsibilities Designs, implements, and maintains secure computing architectures Administers Microsoft Windows servers and systems, including configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and performance optimization Supports and manage Citrix and Xen. Desktop environments Administers VMware virtualization platforms Manages and support Net.

Backup software, including backup, restore, and recovery processes Applies security requirements and best practices across systems and infrastructure Troubleshoots complex technical issues and provide guidance to other IT staff Develops and maintains technical documentation, system standards, and operational procedures Collaborates with security, engineering, and operations teams to support mission and business needs Supports AWS cloud administration when applicable Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 14 or more years of relevant experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or computing architecture Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft Windows systems Experience with Citrix and Xen.

Desktop Experience with VMware Experience with Net. Backup software Security+ certification or any other Department of Defense (DoD) 8140-recognized Cyberspace Workforce Qualification Active TS/SCI clearance Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Willingness to provide rotating on-call support and occasional shift and weekend work Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience administering AWS cloud environments.

Experience designing or supporting secure enterprise infrastructure. Familiarity with applicable security policies and compliance requirements.
