Operations Lead (Jewellery Manufacturing)

Hire, a distinguished leader in the realm of jewellery industry recruitment, extends its invitation for a position at a renowned jewellery manufacturer located in Andheri east, Mumbai Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Lead (Jewellery Manufacturing) to oversee and streamline end-to-end jewellery manufacturing operations across planning, production, inventory management, quality control, dispatch, and process optimization.

The ideal candidate should possess strong industry knowledge, leadership capabilities, and proven expertise in managing large-scale jewellery manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage complete jewellery manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless execution across all production stages. Oversee production planning, capacity utilization, workflow management, and timely delivery of orders. Manage inventory control of gold, diamonds, gemstones, components, work-in-progress, and finished goods with regular reconciliation and audit compliance.

Supervise all manufacturing departments including CAD, CAM, Casting, Filing, Assembly, Setting, Polishing, Quality Control, and Dispatch. Ensure adherence to quality standards, production timelines, and operational SOPs. Coordinate closely with merchandising, sourcing, design, planning, QC, inventory, and sales teams for smooth operational alignment.

Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and optimize manufacturing costs. Monitor operational KPIs including production efficiency, rejection rates, inventory accuracy, and turnaround timelines. Lead and mentor manufacturing teams, driving accountability, performance, and continuous development.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety protocols, and manufacturing best practices. Prepare MIS reports, production dashboards, operational analysis, and management reviews. Support business expansion initiatives through strategic operational planning and manufacturing excellence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 13+ years of experience in jewellery manufacturing operations within jewellery manufacturing and export organizations. Strong expertise in production planning, inventory management, process optimization, quality control, and overall manufacturing operations.

Proven experience in managing large-scale jewellery manufacturing units and leading cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of jewellery production processes including CAD/CAM, Casting, Setting, Polishing, Quality Control, and Dispatch. Excellent leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
