🎯 SPIN Community & Fitness Center Unpaid Internship Opportunity | SPIN SPIN is seeking interns for our SPIN Community & Fitness Center! This hands-on internship is ideal for college students looking to gain real-world experience working alongside Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists and Direct Support Professionals to provide a variety of educational, recreational and leisure activities at SPIN Community and Fitness, as well as in the Community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Interns will collaborate with our team on impactful projects while building professional skills, expanding their network, and contributing to meaningful work that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 📍 Perfect for students majoring in Recreational Therapy, Rehab & Human Services.

Responsibilities

Assisting with recreational activities Collaborating with the Therapeutic Recreation Specialists to develop activity-based schedules Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a college or university (Recreational Therapy, Psychology, Social Sciences, Rehab & Human Services, or other related fields) Strong written and verbal communication skills Creative, organized, and eager to learn Passion for community impact and nonprofit work What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience working with people in the IDD community Exposure to nonprofit organization setting Professional mentorship and networking opportunities Resume-building projects with real impact This internship is ideal for students looking to build their skills while contributing to an organization that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
