Environmental Services Tech Nights

Wellfound is hiring a .75 FTE night Environmental Services Tech to join our team. This is three 10 hours shifts per week. Must be able to work all days of the week. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Tacoma, Washington. We are Department of Health and Joint Commission accredited.

We are an acute care psychiatric hospital providing care to both voluntary and involuntary patients. Position information: As an Environmental Services tech, you will assist where necessary in order to provide the hospital with a clean and sanitary environment, including patient care areas, administrative areas, and floors.

Duties:

• Use appropriate cleaning techniques, supplies, and safety precautions in cleaning assigned area and equipment.
• Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge for all infection control policies and procedures required to maintain the patient care environment.
• Dispose of all medical waste, (regular, recyclable, and regulated) appropriately. Knowledgeable of regulatory requirements for correct waste segregation.
• Use computer to update EPIC as primary tool for tracking of individual progress of all work completed throughout the day.
• Work closely with other staff to obtain or provide routine information, submit work orders, request supplies, and schedule maintenance work.
