Physical Therapist Assistant

Regency Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is a 100 bed skilled nursing facility located in Wilmington, DE. We are currently seeking full time Physical Therapist Assistants to join our rehabilitation department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care. Treatment modalities may include; individual, concurrent and group. Provide excellent training for residents and caregivers. Documents services provided within Rehab Optima on a timely basis. Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.

Exhibits courtesy, compassion and respect to residents, families, caregivers, visitors, physicians, administrators, and co-workers in each and every interaction. Demonstrates continuous new learning to remain current in the field. Complies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures to protect residents’ individual health information.

Participates in clinical program development and implementation. Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program. Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality outcomes. Participates in the training and orientation of other staff, students and volunteers.

Participates in quality improvement activities as needed. May perform additional assigned administrative duties like: assigning and overseeing resident care activities, medical record oversight, assuring execution of physician orders, ordering supplies, etc. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Graduated from an accredited program approved by their professional association.
