Job description

Country of Location: Singapore Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives including driving marketing teams to solicit potential clients for structured finance and syndicated loans business.
  • Lead deal team to assess the credit worthiness of the prospective borrowers, research on industry risk, conduct due diligence, prepare underwriting risk analysis and perform cashflow analysis.
  • Provide guidance to deal team to develop bankable financing and lending structure and lead the negotiation on terms with Borrower.
  • Ensure proper execution of transactions (including marketing and documentation such as information memorandum or legal documentation & execution, organizing roadshows, on site due diligence, etc.) with accuracy and in a professional manner.
  • Establish and develop contacts at banks who take participation in Singapore syndication market in order facilitate CNCBI’s loan distribution activity.
  • Coach and lead deal team in working on SF deals in Singapore.
  • Maintain a high standard of operational control including:
  • Adhere to prevailing risk and compliance requirements, bank policies and procedures, and applicable local and regional regulations, follow through initiatives with attention to details to achieve set targets and standards.
  • Review and amend credit proposals prepared by the team, and approve or make recommendations in accordance with the authority. AML/CTF Responsibilities
  • Implement and comply with anti-money laundering policies and relevant procedures.
  • Provide management oversight and develop / maintain a strong compliance culture regarding regulatory and compliance matters as well as anti-money laundering / counter terrorist financing control activities.

Requirements

Education

Qualification

  • Degree holder in Business Administration or related disciplines.
  1. Working Experiences
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in corporate banking with exposure in the structured finance and loan syndication field gained from region of Asia Pacific.
  • Experience in leading a team of at least one to two members.
  • Formal credit analysis training will be an advantage.
  • Familiar with market guidance / practices and documentation of APLMA.
  1. Professional Qualification / HKMA Enhanced Competency Framework Qualification / Professional Examination / License
  • Possess the required qualifications and license under SFC for dealing in securities will be an advantage.
  • Possess the qualification of Certified Credit Risk Management Professional (Credit Portfolio Management) (CCRP(CPM)) preferred.
  1. Business Knowledge
  • Understand the operating features, transactional mechanism and loan structuring of Structured Finance and Syndicated Loans business (not limited to distribution).
  • Understand industry and market developments relating to corporate banking.
  • Understand the Bank’s policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices, standards and applicable local and regional regulations to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance.
